This page explains how TrackMyPlace uses cookies and similar technologies (collectively, "cookies") when you visit trackmyplace.com or use our platform. It complements our Privacy Policy.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored by your browser when you visit a website. They let the site remember information between requests - for example, that you are signed in, or that you have set a preference. We also use related browser storage technologies such aslocalStorage for the same purposes.

2. Cookie categories

We classify the cookies we set into three categories:

Strictly necessary: Required for the platform to work - authentication, security, and remembering your cookie preferences. These cannot be turned off.
Analytics: Aggregate usage and performance metrics that help us understand which features are used and where we should invest. Off by default.
Marketing: Campaign measurement and personalisation. We currently set no marketing cookies, but your choice is stored so we can honour it if we ever do.

4. Analytics cookies

5. Marketing cookies

We do not currently use marketing cookies. If that changes, this page will be updated and the banner will re-prompt you for consent.

6. How we obtain consent

When you first visit TrackMyPlace, a banner asks you to Accept all, Reject non-essential, or Customise which categories you allow. Until you make a choice, no analytics or marketing scripts run. Your choice is stored in the tmp_cookie_consent first-party cookie. If you are signed in, we also mirror your choice to your account so it follows you to other devices.

7. Changing your preferences

You can reopen the preferences panel at any time:

You can also clear cookies for trackmyplace.com from your browser settings - we will re-prompt you on your next visit.
